The first fruit trees were planted by Joseph C. Strite in 1914. More than 100 years later, Strites' Orchard is welcoming guests to enjoy fresh baked goods, ciders, and more – all made with fresh ingredients and recipes passed down through the family over the years. The bakery serves up freshly made breads, dessert loaves, cookies, donuts, pastries, and pies. Zimmerman's Nuts and Candies
Because old-fashioned never gets old. Step back in time to the candy counter and browse the store’s shelves for your favorite (and sometimes hard-to-find) candies from your youth. Candy and sweets bring generations together, especially in a place like Zimmerman’s! In 1915, John S. Zimmerman began selling candy and homemade peanut butter in his new general store near Harrisburg. Guests should be thrilled that the family tradition lives on for new generations to enjoy.
